My Thoughts On Hunting High And Low:
Although A-ha is known mostly for Take On Me (great video, btw), I hardly ever listen to that song anymore. It's way too overexposed. It's still a good song, but I've just heard it too many times. All of the songs from this CD remain on my computer except for And You Tell Me and Love Is Reason, which are the first songs that lets you know just how teeny-bopper A-ha can get. Despite the fact that they can spit out totally pop songs aimed at wooing young girls, I think A-ha is a much darker and deeper band than most people realize. The song lyrics are quite melancholy, and even the music on the less known tracks has much more depth and pain than you would expect from the Take On Me guys. I listened to this album quite a lot while riding around my bike at night during my high school years, so I really enjoy hearing this music and remembering those times.
